2 DAYS TOUR TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NP

Queen Elizabeth National park is located in Kasese district of the western part of Uganda and a few miles away from the Rwenzori Mountains. It is a typical savanna park with many of Africa’s famous mammals – lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants. Other wildlife species include elands, Uganda kobs, hyenas, mongoose, warthog, wild pigs and many more. Queen Elizabeth national park is also an important birding area in Uganda. It has over 600 species of birds. What makes the park special is the landscape and scenery. Queen Elizabeth National Park remains relatively green for much of the year and because of that appeals to those who love nature. It also has changing landscape, features like the Kyambura gorge and the Maramagambo forest.

Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for evening Launch Cruise at Kazinga channel

On this day you will be received by our friendly Guide/Driver who will briefing you about the tour, the driver will start the journey to Western Uganda and to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will use the Masaka-Mbarara-Kasese route. Driving through this particular route is very smooth because the roads are well paved and full of beautiful scenery. Expect to reach Queen Elizabeth National Park by mid-day. You will check in at your lodge and also have lunch as you prepare for the launch cruise at the Kazinga channel which will reward you with various animals both terrestrial and aquatic.

 

DAY 2: Game drive and return to Kampala

After your breakfast, you will be taken for a game drive on the savanna plains of the Kasenyi sector. Kasenyi sector has the highest concentration of wildlife in the park. The animals to look out for while on the plains are lions, elephants, buffaloes, elands, hyenas, oribis, reedbucks, topis and more. Your game viewing session will end at midday. After the game drive, you will be taken back to your lodge for lunch. You will then set off to Entebbe in a long journey that will take about 5 hours. When you reach Buwama in Masaka, you will stop at the equator crossing for photography and buying souvenir.

 

The equator crossing is an imaginary line that demarcates the earth’s northern and southern hemispheres. Uganda is one of the few countries where you can put your leg on the north and southern 2 days Queen Elizabeth National Park Tourhemisphere at the same time. You will try the water experiment which proves that the equator actually passes through the area. The equator mark is excellent for taking photographs to show your friends. If interested in African crafts, you will find many artisan shops selling different items. The stopover will last for between 30 to 45 minutes after which you will continue the journey to Entebbe airport for departure. Our company driver will drop you off at the airport in the evening and that will be the end of your tour.
